Solar Generators

Lately, I’ve been thinking about solar generators. I guess it was the recent hurricanes that had me thinking about how my house and family would fare in a natural disaster. If the grid goes down and stays down for any length of time we don’t have anything in place to get us through that stretch. Seems sub-optimal.

I like the idea of solar generators. Using the sun to charge a battery seems like a no-brainer. I also love the idea that there is no noise associated with the power. I could be charging my generator and nobody would be the wiser.

Like everything else, there are tons of options out there. There are various considerations. I started asking ChatGPT to provide a list of pros and cons of several popular models.
